The Challenge
The client wanted to build a French provincial-style villa in Manila that would maintain its elegance despite the tropical climate. The Philippines' high humidity and salt air present unique challenges: wooden cabinetry warps, metal hardware corrodes, and standard bathroom fixtures develop mold and mildew.
The project required materials that looked authentically French but were engineered for tropical resilience — without compromising the aesthetic vision.
